ChevronTexaco was recently recognized by LSU for a donation of almost $132,000 to the LSU Foundation. The donation of $131,859 was divided among various campus departments and programs.

Some $25,000 of the donation went to the building endowment for LSU's School of the Coast and Environment, while $89,500 went to the College of Engineering as an annual contribution for departmental scholarships, departmental unrestricted support and student organizations.

Some $10,000 was an unrestricted gift to the Center for Energy Studies at LSU, and $7,359 went to the LSYOU program, which is a nonprofit program for at-risk youth that operates as part of the department of curriculum and instruction in LSU's College of Education.

ChevronTexaco is one of LSU's largest corporate donors and is among the top three organizational donors in the LSU foundation's history.
