Vons, A Safeway Company, continues to provide customers with the latest in retail innovations by introducing a combined supermarket fuel station and convenience store to the residents of Las Vegas. The company will welcome the community to its innovative facilities during grand opening ceremonies June 26 at the Vons store located at 1185 E. Twain Ave. This fuel station is Vons' fourth foray into the fuel-service market.

"Shoppers and families who visit the Las Vegas Vons will now have the opportunity to buy gas and food as part of their shopping experience," Vons President Tom Keller said. "The opening of our newest fuel station is exciting and allows Vons another opportunity to showcase our competitive prices, excellent services and top-notch employees to the community of Las Vegas."

Vons will offer competitive gas prices to all its customers but will bring even more value through the use of the VonsClub card -- Vons loyalty card program. By using VonsClub, customers receive an additional discount per gallon on every gas purchase. But the one-stop shopping experience doesn't stop there, as it includes a convenience store and gaming opportunities. It will offer the customer-on-the-go snacks, ice cream, cigarettes and beverages, as well as minor automotive needs, and will accept most credit cards.

The 2,052 square foot fuel station and full-service convenience store will feature six fuel pumps, which will allow up to 12 customers at one time to fuel their vehicle. As a further added convenience feature, the fuel station will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Special savings and values will be offered to customers during the grand opening festivities, including a free Select travel mug giveaway to the first 300 customers. Additional grand opening values include a free 20-ounce bottle of Coca-Cola with purchase of eight gallons or more.
