HP's New, "Repositionable," Printable Stickers are Fun to Create, Easy to Remove
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 1998--
New HP Stickers Help Families Create Customized,
Repositionable Stickers with Their Inkjet Printers
Hewlett-Packard Company today announced its first printable, repositionable stickers for use with HP inkjet printers. HP Restickables Large Square Inkjet Stickers and HP Restickables Large Round Inkjet Stickers are "repositionable," allowing children to decorate their rooms, furniture and school supplies with stickers that can be removed and repositioned. HP Restickables Stickers retain their adhesion, yet can be easily removed and reapplied without causing damage to most surfaces.
HP Restickables Stickers feature HP Bright White Inkjet Paper backed with a 3M repositionable adhesive used on Post-it(R) Products. Purchasers of these stickers can rely on the quality of 3M's adhesive technology and the strength of HP's brand equity to result in fun projects that are decorated with sharp text and vivid colors.
"Every parent in America has experienced the challenge of trying to remove stickers from their coffee tables as a result of their children's creativity," said Susan M. Schindelar, marketing manager of HP's Inkjet Media Division. "With HP's new, repositionable stickers, parents can join in on the creative fun rather than fretting over stickers that won't come off or that do damage to their furniture. I personally like to use them to stick notes or reminders around the house. " EXPAND PRINTING POSSIBILITIES
The repositionable stickers are ideal for creating personalized gift tags, identifying children's property and custom-labeling home crafts and are just plain fun for kids. They are made of a high-quality HP specialty paper that produces printed images -- text, clip art and even photos -- that are crisp and clear.
HP repositionable stickers are optimized for HP DeskJet printers to provide excellent print quality and to feed easily through the printer, preventing jams or damage to the printer. The stickers also are compatible with HP OfficeJet all-in-one devices, and the HP 2000C Professional Series color printer. U.S. PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
HP Restickables Large Square Inkjet Stickers and HP Restickables Large Round Inkjet Stickers are packaged with 10 sheets per box, with nine 2.5-inch stickers per sheet. Each package is expected to sell for about $10.99 (U.S. street). The repositionable stickers can be purchased at all CompUSA stores in the United States starting Oct. 1, with expanded distribution in the United States and Canada expected in 1999.
