NATIONWIDE -- Sears is launching a redesigned Web site as it prepares to include apparel in its online offerings by the end of this year. The revamped site features easier navigation and expanded product information, but continues to offer an in-store pickup option, a feature that is utilized by approximately 40% of Sears.com shoppers, according to the company.
In addition to researching and purchasing, customers can schedule service calls, order replacement parts, access Sears' gift registry or manage their Sears credit account. The company also has set up kiosks in the appliance sections of its major stores for customers to access online resources. Sears will continue to operate Landsend.com as a separate site.
