Joe McGinnis
Joseph E. and Marjean McGinnis, Topeka, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
Marjean Meyer and Joseph E. McGinnis were married Dec. 24, 1944, in Oceanside, Calif.
They have one daughter, Stephanie C. Payne, Oskaloosa.
Mr. McGinnis served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II and the Korean War. He is retired from the Santa Fe Railway general offices.
Mrs. McGinnis was employed by the U.S. government in Selective Services.
The couple owned and operated the snack bar at Southwest Bowl and Jo-Mar Bowling Equipment and Supplies.

Daniel and Lorene Pape
Daniel and Lorene Pape, Olpe, are observing their 60th wedding anniversary today. They will celebrate with a card shower.
Daniel Edwin Pape and Lorene Lucille Coble were married Dec. 12, 1944, at the Greenwood County Courthouse in Eureka.
Their four children and spouses are Larry and Anita Pape, Wellington; Jim and Arlene Blevins, Flemington, Mo.; Dave and Diane Gile, Morgantown, W.Va.; and Virgil Pape, Olpe. They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Pape is a retired farmer. He also worked for the Santa Fe Railway and the Katy Railroad, and was a pipeline supervisor and a rancher.
Mrs. Pape is a homemaker.

Vic Rosetta
Vic and Gerry Rosetta, Kimberling City, Mo., formerly of Topeka and Osage City, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in Topeka.
Victor Rosetta Jr. and Geraldine Opal Viles were married Dec. 27, 1954, in Osage City.
Their two children and spouses are Victor and Terry Rosetta, Springfield, Mo., and Ramona and Rick McDonald, Tecumseh.
The Rosettas have two grandchildren, Steven and Stephanie Rosetta, Springfield.
Mr. Rosetta retired from the Santa Fe Railway Shops as a supervisor of mobile maintenance.
Mrs. Rosetta retired from State Farm Insurance as an office manager for agent Benny Myers.

Franklin and
Carol Fox
Franklin W. and Carol M. Fox, Topeka, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.
They celebrated with a family reunion last June.
Carol M. Thompson and Franklin W. Fox were married Dec. 15, 1954, in Sierra Madre, Calif.
They have two children, Ewing F. Fox, Bonney Lake, Wash., and Linda Hughes, Petersburg, Ind. They have eight grandchildren.
Mr. Fox worked as a night auditor.
Mrs. Fox is a homemaker.

Mildred Woolaway
Glenn and Mildred Woolaway will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 18 at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 S.W. Wanamaker Road.
Mildred Garman and Glenn Woolaway were married Dec. 24, 1954, at Lowman Hill Methodist Chapel in Topeka.
Hosts will be their children and spouses, Rob and Cathy Woolaway, Rob and Sheryl Garrett, Steve and Debbie Woolaway and Allen and Nicole Woolaway, all of Topeka. The couple have eight grandchildren.
Mr. Woolaway is retired from the Gas Service Co./Westar Energy.
Mrs. Woolaway is a retired registered nurse.
They request no gifts.

Margie Geisler
Carl and Margie Geisler, Alma, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Alma Community Center, 1050 Ohio.
Margie Sommerfeld and Carl Geisler were married Dec. 17, 1954 at Alma. They have three children.
The couple request no gifts.
Charles and
Sue Laird
Charles and Sue Laird, Tecumseh, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise, a gift from their sons and their families.
Sue Melton and Charles Laird were married Nov. 28, 1964, at Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka.
Their four sons and their wives are Tim and Rosemary Laird, Melbourne, Fla.; Dan and Suzanne Laird, Clive, Iowa; Mike and Katie Laird, Baldwin City; and Patrick Laird, Baltimore. The Lairds have nine grandchildren.
Mr. Laird retired in 1996 from the state of Kansas after 31 years of service. He is a substitute teacher.
Mrs. Laird has been a registered nurse at St. Francis Health Center for 27 years.
